Branding, Art Direction & Responsive festival website
The Lost Lands Festival
The Lost Lands is a music and arts festival programmed with families in mind. Combining exciting, inclusive experiences in a music festival setting over the Melbourne Cup Weekend, at Werribee Park. We worked closely with the Lost Lands team to create the festival branding and artwork, as well as to design and develop the website.
After a research stage we asked Mark Conlan to come on-board to help develop the playful artwork and brand which utilises a distinctive system of icons to be used in support. The flexible branding can be reproduced in a single color and has been designed to scale to accommodate a variety of uses including signage and merchandise. The website was designed to showcase the line-up and help drive tickets sales for the new event.
Site visitors can quickly access and filter the event line-up and check out each event. Visitors can then add the events to their own favourites list which can be printed, added to a calendar or shared on Facebook. We've used responsive design for mobile device accessibility, and HTML5 & CSS3.
Website features include: Line-up filtering by type, shortlisting functionality, clear call to action for ticket sales, mailing list, and social media integration throughout—all built using Silverstripe CMS. We also setup the website on cloud servers setup to handle any traffic spikes, and provide ongoing support.
